Although the music is not glitch, dubstep, or drum and bass, it’s good stuff, and the producer is a friend of mine out here in the valley of the sun. I present to you, DJ DLG, one more of Arizona’s top talent pushing his own unique style of “four-on-the-floor” dance music. Most recently, Dave has put out a new round of tunes on the Lazor Music imprint. Check the write up below for info and head over to beatport.com to scoop up the tunes.
“Lazor Music is proud to present another amazing release from DJ DLG titled the Evolution EP. Hot after his collaboration with Kinch on “Tie Me Lightly” the “Evolution EP” features 3 original tracks, which show both an auditory and technical progression in DLG’s unique sound.
DJ DLG has produced tracks with Erick Morillo, Laidback Luke, Dave Armstrong, Giorgio Moroder and more. His work has appeared worldwide on labels like Interscope, Universal, MOS, Hed Kandi, Subliminal, CR2, Lazor Music and many more.
The leading track “Stomp”, is a new twist on the bigroom disco sound, which DLG has been known to provide. “Stomp” is a secret weapon in DLG’s sets, which has now been unleashed to the masses.
The Second track “Higher” brings together the sounds of Electro, Progressive, and Dubstep combining a piano laden break with a huge drop for a pure peak time moment.
For the third and final track “4C1D” DLG breaks out the TB-303 for a new twist on the classic acid house sound.”
OLAV BASOSKI: DJ DLG – Stomp (instrumental mix)
DLG is someone who gets it too. This is kind of electro, but also almost disco, has a nice groove to it. It works, period. I love the vibe after the big break, the disco-y synths on top of the big analog bassline, it’s very happy and still tough!
