Singularity

What’s up internet? Its been awhile since I posted up any of my new music, but here is one I finished up around 2-3 weeks ago and wanted to share. I had fun working on it, its been some time since I dabbled in dnb and I really like how it came out. I’m working on a flip to this at the moment and will hopefully find both tunes a home later this year. Check out the preview below and spread the word! The vocal snippet is Terence McKenna, talking about the approaching singularity, the merging of humans and computers.
New audio clip posted!
I recently posted a clip of the most recent dubstep tune I’ve finished up. This one is dark, melodic, and brutally heavy. Head over to my soundcloud to give it a listen!
Kid Kryptic – Restless (Free DNB Tune)
So I made this tune, Restless, back in 2008. For some reason I never bothered shopping it around to any labels, I just held onto it as a dub and played it out at shows. Well, the other day I noticed it just sitting on the hard drive and figured, what the hell, I’ll just give it away for the fans.
So, here you are!
This is one of the last drum and bass tunes i’ve made in awhile, hell it was made back in late 2008. This one is a melodic, teched-out with a 4×4 breakdown in the middle. I’ve got another new drum and bass tune in the works, influenced by a lot of my early tech-step days – I’ll let you all know what happens with that when it’s finished.

On ‘Moments’ – Adam John delivers an EP of deep glitched out beats that are emotive and inspiring. Each track on ‘Moments’ draws on a strong sense of mood and circumstance. ‘Tear This Up’ is a midtempo breakbeat roller with dissonant atmospherics and strong leads, while ‘Fog’ & ‘Patience’ take the listener into downtempo IDM with more emphasis on tonal atmospherics, while ‘Fall In’ is a standout track on the EP with it’s vocal led groove, almost chaotic synthesis and large pulsating basslines. ‘Moments’ is an emotive Journey, enjoyed by those ready to be moved.
Adam John – Perhaps better known by his DnB alias Kid Kryptic, and as head of Drum & Bass label, Theoretic Records, Adam first released his disturbing brand of stuttering stomps on the notorious darkstep/breakcore label Fear Records in 2002. Its success was soon followed by material for Killing Sheep, Hardline, Evol Intent Recordings and the “Get Up” bootleg through Camouflage UK. Soon Adam dove into other bass-heavy genres such as dubstep and glitch hop, finding a world of fresh sounds on the more experimental end of the EDM spectrum. 2008 and 2009 saw his first releases with a variety of hard-hitting indie labels around the nation, including Tuff Love Dubs, Filthy Digital, Shift Recordings, Darkstep.org, Adversion and Zardonic Recordings.

DUBSTEP – FILTHY DIGITAL 015 – ADAM JOHN – PROPHECY/UNDECIDED
Just to let you all know, Filthy Digital has just released two of my new dubstep tracks and they are now available for consumption!
A couple different styles on this release. Undecided is a heavier, stomping tune with some gritty synths, and melodic layers. Prophecy takes a different route with some morphed basslines, ambiance and darker undertones.

Nanaye

I came across Nanaye while randomly browsing myspace artists. I know, right? I actually dig this in some weird way. The vocals are soft and they compliment the music very well – however, I wish I could hear higher quality versions of the music instead of the terribly compressed myspace versions.
Unfortunately for me, I don’t speak Japanese, so I have no idea what she is saying – either way, the music is pretty nice. It’s chill, calm, melodic and not over produced.
