Kid Kryptic – Restless (Free DNB Tune)
So I made this tune, Restless, back in 2008. For some reason I never bothered shopping it around to any labels, I just held onto it as a dub and played it out at shows. Well, the other day I noticed it just sitting on the hard drive and figured, what the hell, I’ll just give it away for the fans.
So, here you are!
This is one of the last drum and bass tunes i’ve made in awhile, hell it was made back in late 2008. This one is a melodic, teched-out with a 4×4 breakdown in the middle. I’ve got another new drum and bass tune in the works, influenced by a lot of my early tech-step days – I’ll let you all know what happens with that when it’s finished.

luddy vs nate dogg – play no games (adam john remix)

Hello all!
I’ve finished up another bootleg that I’m giving away for free. Haven’t done one in awhile so I figured I dig into my acapellas and see what’s good. I’ve always been a fan of Nate Dogg, maybe some of you remember my Get Up remix that came out on Camouflage UK a few years ago.
Well here is another one, enjoy!

THRDIGI003 – Dec. 14th, 2009 – Kid Kryptic, DJ Hidden

For the month of December, Theoretic Records brings you the last in the back catalog releases. This previously limited edition vinyl release, featuring Kid Kryptic and DJ Hidden will be available at digital-tunes.net, junodownload.com and chemical-records.co.uk on December 14, 2009.
Two massive tunes here! Dark, atmospheric, hard-edge beats with chest thumping drums and head snapping snares. Foreign Skin starts off with a haunted intro, broken beat drums, and a chilling piano piece. This all leads into a massive drop full of chopped up breaks and tearing basslines. Blast Doors of Perception fools the listener with a slightly uptempo and melodic intro, only to flip the switch into blistering drumwork, a deep low end, crunchy bass accompanied by horror movie style atmospheres.
Look for this at the following locations on December 14th, 2009!

The Atlanta Connection.

http://antimatterblog.wordpress.com/2009/11/01/the-devil-smiled/
So I just got back from a killer time in Atlanta. First time there and I had a blast. I got the rare chance to play for 2 hours and dive into a variety of glitch-hop, dubstep and drum and bass. It was nice to play for a crowd that was into the different genres of music rather than playing 2 straight hours of one style. I appreciate a promoter that allows me to do my thing and open up a wide selection of beats for the party.
Hopefully I’ll be able to go back again soon!
Check the link above for a review from the promoter himself.
Devil’s Night @ The Bench, Atlanta – Kid Kryptic, Mayhem, Quadrant

Get ready Atlanta! I’ll be rolling through on October 30th for Devil’s night. It’s going to be an awesome night of dub and drum n bass with some possibilities of glitch hop on the horizon.
Ghost Industries proudly presents Kid Kryptic of Phoenix, Az, for his first Atlanta appearance!! Known in drum & bass circles for his blistering releases on imprints like the mighty Evol Intent Recordings, Zardonic Recordings, Atlanta’s own Soothersayer Recordings, and his own Theoretic Recordings, KK is sure to be armed to the teeth with dubs and exclusives. Embracing the dubstep sound as well, he’s released music under his real name Adam John on respected labels such as Filthy Digital and Shift Recordings. Adam also produces stunning beatscapes infused with glitch and downtempo elements, a la Squarepusher and Aphex Twin. Be ready for an aural assault of genre-defying mash-ups of jungle, dub, and glitch from Kid Kryptic!!
Also on the bill are local heavyweights Mayhem, Quadrant, Distal, antiMatter, and Beat Baby, who brings the beats hard and sexy with her unique style of flair and funk!
Def not one to miss, this party is meant to push us into one crazy night of mischief and debauchery! Bring your ass in a costume and save yourself the $5 cover.
Schedule:
Beat Baby 9-10
Distal 10-11
Quadrant 11-12
Mayhem 12-1
Kid Kryptic 1-3
antiMatter 3-4
Upcoming Show – August 14, 2009 – Syndicate w/ E-Sassin

On this upcoming August 14 I’ll be rocking the decks alongside E-Sassion, Kip Killigan and local duo Dirty Martini. This show will be broadcast live as well, on Junglistradio.com for all those out-of-town fans.
Live art, body painting, give-aways and junglist go-go dancers will be in attendance.
I haven’t played a DnB show for a few months so this should be a good time. I may even drop some glitch hop on the crowds to mix things up.
Keep the date locked down and be sure to stream the event if you’re going to be part of the internet massive.
Razor’s Edge (The Mix) – Shift Recordings

Shift Recordings label boss, Lukki, gives us a dubstep mix featuring tunes for their upcoming release, Razors Edge. For all the bass heavy lovers out there, don’t miss out on this. I’m also happy to announce that my dubstep tune, The Little One, will also be featured on this outing.
Show your support! Download the mix, then pick up the release when it drops in August 3rd!
It will be available at Beatport, Digital-Tunes, Juno, Addictech, Chemical, iTunes, Amazon & more!

Fog

Recently I’ve been spending more time with Ableton (still need to buy version eight) and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. Most likely, I’ll discontinue using Reason as I’m finding Ableton allows me to do so much more. There are still some techniques in reason I like, but I’m not into the sound engine at all. Maybe the new “Record” software will be better.
In any case, I’ve uploaded a new tune called “Fog” that I made entirely in Ableton Live 7. I’ve been meaning to spend more time working on experimental tunes / glitch hop music. Fog, is my most recent adventure back in after working on dubstep for the last 5 months. The E.P. I’m working on will probably feature more sounds along the glitch hop lines, but I also have a dubstep track or two I’ll throw in.
Since the idea of the E.P. is to showcase a change and versatility in my style, I’m trying to build a flow that starts off rather mellow and progresses to something heavier and a bit darker. My moods change constantly and the E.P. will represent that change through my music.
So have a listen to Fog and enjoy! It’s a bit mellow, has some slightly aggressive synths working around moody keys and glitchy drum work. I still haven’t decided if this one is going on the E.P. or not, but I’ll know more as I finish up more work.
