Vermin Street Presents: East Coast Bass (Disc 1 + 2)

One of my favorite bass music labels, Vermin Street, released their newest compilation a few days ago. East Coast Bass, so much bass it had to be released in two separate disks. Fortunately, you don’t actually have to get disks, they are so archaic these days. Simply head on over to beatport.com and increase the size of your digital collection. Your ears and friends will thank you for lathering their senses with some quality beats.

Manu Chao – Por el Suelo (K-lix La Verdolaga Bootleg)

This one came into my inbox the other day, and I found it quite interesting. I don’t understand Spanish, but from the words of the producer, here is what he has to say: “..it tells a big story of earth awareness and third world revolution..”

K-Lix is a Guatemalan artist, and I’m diggin’ his style on this glitchy dubstep remix.

MartyParty – Purple EP

MartyParty’s latest, Purple, is hitting stores on May 31 and I’m absolutely stoked for this album. You may be familiar with his project PANTyRAID with Ooah from the Glitch-Mob, or maybe you’ve seen him on the Monsters of Bass tour with Freq Nasty and Opiuo, but if not, you’re in for welcome introduction. To help promote his new EP, MartyParty is giving away a free mini EP for you to download.

“When I returned home from touring North American with The Monsters of Bass, I wanted to sit down and write a collection of songs that summed up the kinds of energy and emotion I found myself feeling and expressing to the audiences on tour every day,” states Marty. “This album touches on various forms of purple energy in a journey through the genre. The Purple album demonstrates the incredible range of this electronic genre and how it can express light and dark, turn from gentle to hard, but always delivers its message using only synthesized sounds.”MartyParty

Grab the free tunes and be sure to pick up the full album when it drops at the end of May.

+verb – Cough EP (Muti Music)

Being an Arizona resident, I enjoy helping promote the amazing talent this state has to offer. Northern Arizona producer, +verb, has just released his latest tune, with a large does of remix pressure, on the San Francisco label, Muti Music.

Straight off the Muti Page, here is their description of this solid EP.

The original mix is like being inside a world of playful toy robots and pixelated objects that then go on to teach you a thing or two. Some of our favorite producers right now the take those sounds to varied heights and other unusual places and through a myriad of contemporary and emerging genres that make this EP a very pleasant listen.

We’re stoked that +Verb found his way to us. “Giant robot laser battles; tender mechanized love-making; the blinking blips and bleeps of artificial intelligence communications: these are the computerized moods that will wash over you in the most calculated of ways.”

+verb (pronounced “Adverb” by humans) is a new blog favorite in the genre of bass. Recently featured on Soundcloud’s “What’s Hot” list for a collaboration with Stephan Jacobs, the world is anxiously preparing for an invasion of his robotic army.

With forthcoming releases on Vermin Street and Simplify Recordings and hot on the heals of his recent EP on Car Crash Set and a stellar remix of Starkey on Civil Music, +Verb now delivers a melodic glitched out chill track ‘Cough’ which then get’s remixed by some of the hottest folks in the ‘glitch’ scene right now.

Check the original below, then head over to Addictech.com and pick this one up with all the remixes.

Inaudible – Feed Me Your Email EP

Inaudible, one of the many producers on the Muti Music imprint out of San Francisco, comes correct with a free EP for the fans.

In his own words, “In an attempt at satisfying my craving for email addresses I am releasing the “feed me your email” EP feating the following two tracks. Carnival: The sound of Jesus, re-incarnated into a 115bpm tense, glitched out, dubstep format, and Quiet Addict: Tastes like a slow shot of skag in your eyeball. Or a dubstep number featuring an eerie vocal hook over a bubbling 8 bit lead and crackling percussion.”

Carnival also has a video featuring mutations of Mr. Inaudibles face, enjoy!
